-The XC-72 is a new model from New Balance that aims to combine retro style with futuristic technology. This rendition of the XC-72 silhouette features an light blue synthetic base with blue suede overlays, and oversized white leather “N” logos on both sides of the shoe. The upper sits on a slightly oversized grey midsole featuring a unique split gum brown outsole with two different traction patterns that extend up onto the front sides of the shoe. An light blue synthetic stripe down the toe of the shoe along with a strip of light blue rubber on the underfoot emphasizes the split approach to round out the futuristic design. The shoe meets New Balance's green leaf standard which means that the upper is made of 50% or more recycled content, and/or leather that supports more responsible manufacturing through the Leather Working Group, and at least one material in the midsole/outsole contains a minimum of 3% bio-based or 5% recycled content.
