The shape of the shirt is based on a standard workwear t-shirt used in the industrial and construction sectors, while the knit is based upon the inside lining of a firefighter helmet. DAW stands for Die Ästhetik Des Widerstands (The Aesthetics of Resistance), a book by Peter Weiss that provoked a set of garments produced as a documentary on contemporary artist studio practice and their implication in the art world.
