-The XC-72 is a new model from New Balance that aims to combine retro style with futuristic technology. This rendition of the XC-72 silhouette features a sea smoke with nimbus cloud colored upper with a synthetic base, and suede overlays in various shades of blue grey and orange. The upper sits on a slightly oversized  beige midsole featuring a unique split grey rubber outsole with two different traction patterns that extend up onto the front sides of the shoe. An  stripe down the toe of the shoe along with a strip of rubber on the underfoot emphasizes the split approach to round out the futuristic design. The shoe meets New Balance's green leaf standard which means that the upper is made of 50% or more recycled content, and/or leather that supports more responsible manufacturing through the Leather Working Group, and at least one material in the midsole/outsole contains a minimum of 3% bio-based or 5% recycled content. The high quality construction, retro-futuristic design, and use of sustainable materials makes the UXC72WB an welcome addition to any collection
