- The roll collar, designed with the facing and upper collar as a continuous piece, draws inspiration from classic archival garments. Subtle yet striking details—such as contrast stitching specified for each seam and a chest pocket accented with a custom-developed zip slider—add a refined sensuality to the otherwise minimal jacket.
Crafted from 9.6oz OLD JOE original denim, the fabric highlights a strong focus on yarn development, featuring custom nep yarn. The warp is spun using a blend that includes shorter cotton fibers to express a dry, rustic texture with natural bulk. The weft combines primarily American cotton with Australian and Brazilian cotton for a stable, balanced feel, while additional finishing introduces a crisp touch within its softness.
Rope-dyed with a deep, black-leaning indigo, the fabric achieves a rich, dark tone. Starting from kibata (loomstate fabric), it undergoes only a specialized sanforization process to prevent shrinkage, preserving the raw texture and natural surface fuzz.
