LOT.601 TEE SHIRTS "USUZUMI"
Details:
- Constructed with a tubular knit body and no side seams, this piece embraces a minimal structure—formed from a continuous tube of fabric with openings for the head and arms, finished with attached sleeves. While it may resemble modern everyday basics, its foundation lies in historical design, faithfully replicating details such as a flat shoulder line, a boat-neck-inspired collar, and a double-layered neck rib for added durability.
The jersey fabric is slowly knitted on a traditional loopwheel machine in Wakayama, Japan—one of the few still in operation today. First introduced during the Taisho era, this rare machine produces only about one meter of fabric per hour, resulting in a textile with subtle irregularity and a soft, airy character. Made from USA cotton, the fabric offers a dry handfeel and a distinctly vintage touch.
