- These jeans are inspired by American-made denim from the 1980s–1990s, when production shifted from shuttle looms to rapier and Sulzer looms. This transition allowed for wider, more uniform fabric and sturdier construction, defining the look of the era. At the same time, pocket-making advanced from hand-stitched cotton thread to automatic machines using durable polyester thread, creating consistent shapes and finishes. With flatter, smoother fabric and efficient production techniques, jeans of this period had a distinctive character that orSlow has carefully captured in the 105W.
