- Crafted from an original fabric woven in Yamashina, Kyoto, using midweight hemp yarns in both the warp and weft. After weaving, the fabric is brushed to soften hemp's naturally crisp hand, giving it a broken-in feel and a warmer, more textured finish from the very first wear. Cut in an oversized silhouette, the shirt offers generous room through the body while maintaining ease of movement. Though its construction appears minimal, gussets extending from the cuffs to the hem provide additional depth and mobility, allowing the shirt to drape naturally without restriction. It is finished with environmentally friendly corozo nut buttons and discreet side seam pockets, adding everyday functionality without interrupting the clean silhouette. Despite its generous volume, the brushed hemp fabric remains soft and fluid, creating an elegant drape with subtle movement. Hemp is also exceptionally durable, becoming even softer and more supple with wear while developing a distinctive character over time, and the fabric undergoes a deep botanical dye treatment, creating rich, nuanced tones with natural variations and depth.
