While rooted in traditional denim construction, OLD JOE introduces thoughtful updates throughout, including a lined waistband to help prevent indigo transfer when worn tucked in, reinforced gussets at high-stress areas, and pressed crease lines that lend the silhouette a more tailored appearance.

Cut from OLD JOE's original 12.4 oz selvedge denim, the fabric is woven in Okayama's renowned denim region of Ibara using specially developed yarns that emphasize a full-bodied hand and rustic nep texture. The warp yarns feature pronounced slub and nep characteristics, dyed in a deep, black-toned indigo, while the weft uses tightly twisted, naturally beige cotton to create depth and contrast. Finished from loomstate denim using a proprietary sanforization process, the fabric retains its natural character without the stiff, starched feel of conventional rigid denim. The result is a denim with rich texture, substantial depth of color, and a soft hand that balances vintage authenticity with OLD JOE's distinctive modern sensibility.
