LINEN RAMIE WIDE TROUSERS "CHARCOAL"
Details:
- Crafted from a substantial original fabric woven with domestically spun blended yarns of linen and ramie. Using the same blend for both the warp and weft creates a fabric with a firm structure, natural texture, and a comfortable weight. Originally developed by MITTAN, this fabric has been revived and brought back into production. The pants feature a voluminous silhouette, offering generous room through the hips and legs while maintaining a clean, relaxed drape. An elastic waistband with an internal drawcord provides a comfortable fit, while belt loops are included for additional support when carrying items in the pockets. A zipper fly and large rear patch pockets add everyday functionality. The substantial fabric weight and relaxed proportions create a clean, flowing silhouette. The balance of linen’s natural drape and ramie’s structure offers both durability and refinement. The fabric is dyed with Kishu Binchotan charcoal and pigment, creating a naturally uneven color variation and rich depth. Kishu Binchotan is Japan’s highest-grade white charcoal, traditionally produced from Ubame oak in Wakayama Prefecture using methods passed down since the Edo period.
