- Designed from Taiga Takahashi’s imagination of what such a garment might have looked like had it existed in the past. It combines two distinct approaches to flat-pattern construction: the sculptural, forward-set sleeves and sense of ease created when worn, reminiscent of a kimono, with the rationally simplified construction characteristic of American workwear. The jacket is made from moleskin that has undergone three rounds of brushing, giving it the feel and softness of a premium blanket fabric. Custom-engraved buttons and iron hardware at the back are finished with an oxidized, smoked-like plating to evoke the character and patina of the passage of time.
