- One of Taiga Takahashi's signature pieces, this denim jacket is inspired by vintage selvedge workwear and faithfully preserves the construction details of early examples. Woven on narrow shuttle looms, traditional selvedge denim naturally requires a back seam when grading to larger sizes. Drawing from select vintage references, the seam is subtly shifted toward the side of the back for a cleaner, less noticeable appearance. The jacket is cut in a relaxed fit, allowing for layerings. Custom-engraved buttons and back hardware are crafted from unplated iron, developing a natural patina and subtle rust over time to reflect years of wear. Completing the design is Taiga Takahashi's signature leather patch, mud-dyed on Amami Ōshima using a traditional botanical dyeing technique.
