Split Seam Shoe is a slip-on cut-off Chelsea-style boot with a rounded toe, bench-made in Asakusa, Japan from 100% Italian young calfskin leather tanned by Guidi in Tuscany and saturated with oil for a refined, dense, soft hand. Defined by its clean center split seam running from toe to tongue, it sits between a boot and a shoe—subdued yet robust—with a side-gore entry, Goodyear welt, and rubber sole. The leather lining stops at the heel to create subtle abrasion that helps prevent heel slip. “Charcoal” is an original dye developed specifically for this collaboration, and the leather will soften, deepen, and gain luster over time.
