- The Albert Jacket is a modern reinterpretation of a classic leather style, inspired by the iconic jacket famously worn by Albert Einstein in the 1930s. While Einstein’s original Levi’s Menlo Cossack jacket featured a button closure, this version updates the design with a smooth zip-front for a contemporary feel. Corduroy trim on the back of the collar along the lower edge of the jacket. The interior is lined with a wool–nylon blend, and when the front flap is unbuttoned, two separate pockets are on each side.The jacket is crafted from the finest baby calf leather, offering an elegant, muted sheen and a luxurious hand, balancing classic design with high-end material — a hallmark of OLD JOE’s aesthetic.
The full-grain leather delivers a soft, supple touch with subtle oiliness, allowing the jacket to develop a rich patina and exceptional aging over time. The lining is made from a premium wool–cashmere blend, woven by M.T.R., a specialist Italian mill in the Prato region. The wool–cashmere provides gentle structure, a soft beaver-finished surface, and deep, nuanced color, creating a tactile, luxurious interior.
