- Sewn at Yard Ateliers—Ordinary Fits's own workshop in Kojima, Okayama, the birthplace of Japanese denim—this piece features a unique wide silhouette inspired by early 1900s LEVI’S models. Construction details replicate vintage techniques from the same era, including suspender buttons, a cinch back, rivets on the front of back pockets, rounded stitching around the pocket edges, selvedge-trimmed coin pockets, and a V-shaped front stitch reminiscent of 1960s designs before backstitching machines were common. Made from 14oz selvedge denim reproduced from vintage LEVI’S fabric, the material captures long, textured vertical slubs with multiple yarns, uses extra-dense weaving, and retains natural fuzziness and twisting without singeing or skewing, ensuring durability and a rich, vintage feel.
