- For denim’s gold standard, warp and weft yarns follow a fixed count, defining fabric texture and feel. Visvim's first brown selvedge denim used a thinner weft for a softer touch, later experimenting with a thicker weft for a subtly different hue. Their red selvedge loomstate denim, designed for softness, now evolves with a new version matching the gold standard's yarn count. The warp yarn is dyed in 100% indigo using the Nakajiro method, leaving the core white for a classic fade. The Social Sculpture 01 Wide Raw made of these 14oz red selvedge denim in raw. It features high rise, wide leg, and button fly closure. Custom copper buttons and rivets, and natural dyed buckskin patch.
